Signing of memoranda of understanding with the Chinese
During the 2nd edition of Moroccan-Chinese Friendship Forum that was launched on last Monday in Agadir ,the Regional Council Souss Massa and the different disricts and provines from China signed agreements to strenghten cooperation and trade exhange with the chineese.
The launch of the 2nd edition of Moroccan-Chinese Friendship Forum and accomplished successfully on Monday by the signature in Agadir of 11 memoranda of understanding between the Chinese operators and their Moroccan counterparts in the framework of decentralized cooperation.In this regard, the Regional Council Souss Massa kicked off the process by signing two memoranda of understanding.The first one is about twinning with the Provine Shanxi, from the north of China.The second was signed between the Regional Council Souss Massa and the People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries
In addition, the communes of Taroudant, Tiznit, Tata, Ait Melloul, Foum El Hssen et Agadir signed for their parties memoranda of understanding with the chineese cities Datong, Zhangjiajie, Dalian, Wu Xi, Yangzhouand Nonjing ; meanwhile the prefectures eand provinces of Inzegane Ait-Melloul, Taroudant and Tata have committed themselves to partner with the regions Anhui, Hunan and Guizhou. These memoranda of understanding cover different areas of cooperation including trade, development of investment in addition to agriculture and fishery.
Abdeljabbar El Kastalani, the first Vice-President of the Regional Council Souss Massa thinks that « the set of memoranda of understanding aims the creation of a suitable environment for a partnership between the two parties in order to strengthen cooperation and trade exchange”. Meanwhile, of course, University Ibn Zohr Agadir signed during the same day two memoranda of agreements with the university of Shanghai Jiao Tong and the university of Ninxia. Furthermore, two B to B work sessions were oeganized in the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services Souss Massa between more than twenty chineese businesses and foruty moroccan businesses representing different sectors such as car industry, constrction sector, heavy industry, ransport facilities, wind energy, food processing, health and import/ export of tea. Panel discussions on different areas were organized including development of the chineese tourism market, agriculture and food processing, aquaculture and increasing the value of sea-food products in addition to the offer of the region Souss Massa in terms of infrastructure an the platform hosting investment.
