Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation Mr. Hans-Joachim Fuchtela met with the Vice President of the Council of the Region Souss Massa Mr. Abdeljabar El Kastalani and the members of the delegation. They held a discussion about the stand of the Souss Massa Region in the Berlin International Tourism Fair.

This visit was an opportunity to present the products of sustainable tourism carried out in the framework of the Moroccan German Cooperation project GIZ in partnership with the High Commission for Water and Forests and the Fight against Desertification, the Rural Tourism Development Network, the different actors of the civil society and the private sector.

During this meeting, the emphasis was placed on the importance of collaboration. In this respect, both parties mutually expressesed their commitments to continue to support all  projects needed to boost the rural area focusing more on environment and job creation at the local level.
